Protect yourself from Sizzling & Boiling Summer in June 2017.

Heat Wave likely to continue during first ten days of June 2017 in Pakistan and India.

During these hot days, the Holy Month of Ramadan is observed. Which means long fasting hours for those who observe. The fast in Indo-Pakistan, Bangladesh and in Middle East countries is of 15-16 hours each day which means from Fajar prayer (Suhoor) to sun set means Maghreb prayer time and also refer as Iftar time.

Pakistan Meteorological Department will be referred as PMD, yesterday reported and also stated in regard to prevailing current dry and heat wave spell in Pakistan. This will likely to continue for more three days.

In few areas of Sindh and southern areas of Punjab the temperature will set new record and likely to reach 54 degree Celsius. PMD also foretasted dry and hot weather may persist in remaining two provinces of Pakistan that is Baluchistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

The capital of the country Islamabad will also be effected during this forecasted week. Temperature likely to persist between 42- 44 degree Celsius this week.

Karachi the largest city of Pakistan and business activity hub in Pakistan, having approximately 10% of total population of the country. It is currently estimated population is 20 million. The temperature likely to sizzle at 40 degree Celsius in first fifteen days of Ramadan this year. Beside rise in temperature the humidity level will increase.

As advise by the medical expert / physician, child specialist, also by PMD to the citizen is, to take necessary precautionary measure and avoid exposure to the sun during peak hours. That is mostly during day time from 10:00 am to 04:00pm during this period.

As per prediction by Mr. Rasul Director General of PMD the heat wave spell persists despite that few areas likely to receive rain fall as well as thunderstorm. The area which will be effected are hilly areas and the adjoining hilly areas, such as Malakand and Hazara division, Rawalpindi and Islamabad, part of Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. The rain fall and thunderstorm will provide temporary relieve in respective area from hot spell. Later again the temperature will rise after rain fall or shower in respective areas.
